Apart from London Listed securities Sedol are only allocated on request so in theory you could have one Sedol if no one has requested further numbers. Sedol allocation is based on the information source being recognised by us normally an official listing on another Stock Exchange in a different country.

The example you quote was alllocated at a time when we used the Sedol of the prime listing for London Listed foreign equities. We changed this practice about a year ago so now all London securities receive there own number. Depending on what you want to use this particular Sedol for we do have other Sedols even a London number which you could use for pricing purposes?
